After a glittering gala on Saturday, the reign of Andris Nelsons at the Boston Symphony Orchestra is underway. WGBH News Arts Editor Jared Bowen spoke with Nelsons about presiding over a concert built around his identity and his plans for the world-class orchestra.

Nelsons is on the podium with a Beethoven, Bartok and Tchaikovsky program through Oct. 3 before returning Nov. 6 through Nov. 22 for his second group of programs.

Watch Jared's first conversation with Nelsons, when the young conductor was introduced as the BSO's new music director.

And listen live from Symphony Hall Saturdays and Mondays at 8 p.m. through WCRB.
