Stories from the Stage, the acclaimed storytelling series from Boston public media producer GBH and WORLD, has announced the premiere of its ninth season, opening with its 175th episode. This milestone is a testament to the more than 500 talented storytellers who have graced the stage, sharing their raw, authentic, and universally resonant stories that celebrate the depth and breadth of human experience. Season 9, which premieres on Monday, Oct. 6, promises another captivating lineup of narratives, fostering connection and understanding in an increasingly complex world. -
On the Day Federal Funding Ends, GBH Launches a $225 Million Campaign to Invest in the Future of Public Media
Public media powerhouse GBH today announced the launch of its "Fund the Future" campaign, an ambitious three-year initiative to raise $225 million and secure a sustainable future for the organization following the unprecedented loss of federal funding. The campaign, launched on the same day that federal funding expires, aims to ensure the continuity of independent, fact-based journalism and trusted educational content in the Boston area and beyond. -
TWO-PART NOVA SPECIAL “OPERATION SPACE STATION” SHOWCASES 25 YEARS OF SCIENCE AND SURVIVAL ON THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION
The award-winning PBS science series, NOVA, a production of GBH, today announced the two-part documentary special “OPERATION SPACE STATION” will premiere November 5 and 12, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on PBS (check local listings) and will also be available for streaming at pbs.org/nova, NOVA on YouTube, and the PBS App. Over two thrilling hours, OPERATION SPACE STATION recounts the personal stories of ingenuity and international teamwork from the people behind the scientific feats of building, operating and conducting research aboard the International Space Station (ISS) over the last three decades.
