    Raised with devotion for music, Gregory George Groover Jr is a twenty-seven year old tenor saxophonist and educator from Roxbury, Massachusetts. His love and pursuit of music directed him to the Boston Arts Academy where he graduated in 2011. Currently, Gregory serves as the co-chair of music at his alma mater, the Boston Arts Academy where he provides instruction in Jazz studies to the next generation of artists and scholars. In addition to teaching, Gregory continues to perform regularly with his working bands and is earnestly working towards the release of his second album: the Negro Spiritual Songbook Volume II - “The Message”.

    Joseph Borsellino III is a Boston-born producer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. On his principal instrument-- saxophone-- he has entertained audiences along the eastern coast with popular jazz repertoire laced with gospel-oriented improvisations and original music. His compositions have been selected by both Jazz Education Network and the International Society of Jazz Composers and Arrangers for their dynamic expression and cross-cultural sensibilities, drawing from distant corners of the African diaspora.

    For this occasion, he is joined by:

    Miguel Landestoy is a jazz pianist, educator and arts administrator based out of Boston. As a “multi-hyphenate,” he is constantly looking towards the next step on his artistic journey and how he can better serve the artistic community.

    Dan Raney is a bassist and songwriter hailing from Mansfield, MA. A multi-instrumentalist, Dan enjoys teaching a variety of instruments. In addition to teaching, he writes his own music and gigs/records with a number of bands in Boston, playing pop and rock among other genres.

Experience the fusion of traditional jazz elements with the captivating beats of Cuban percussion, creating a harmonious blend that will transport you to the heart of Havana. This performance aims to celebrate the power of music to unite and uplift. Get ready to tap your feet, sway to the groove, and be moved by compositions based on personal experience of resilience, mixed with the irresistible energy of Afro Cuban rhythms.

    * $50 in-person event experience from 7:15-9pm, includes wine and cheese pre-reception or
    * Virtual Tickets (Free) from 8-9pm. The performance can be streamed for free with an advanced RSVP
