Once known as "The Kid" from playing with Charles Tolliver, Horace Silver and George Benson, drummer Alvin Queen has played with many of the great musicians of Jazz, Gospel and Rhythm and Blues. He’s being recognized now for a long-standing #2 album on the Jazzweek music chart, Night Train to Copenhagen. Jazz 24/7’s Tessil Collins spoke with Alvin at his home in Geneva, Switzerland about keeping Jazz music alive.
