‘All Creatures Great And Small’ Season 4, Episode 1 “Broodiness” and the war on poor animal health
The All Creatures Great And Small Season 4 premiere reminds viewers that the shadow of World War II is now fully woven into the lives of the residents of Yorkshire. At Skeldale House, Tristan is sorely missed as there are plenty of farmers and pet owners looking for veterinary care. While the season premiere establishes that the series has not forgotten its roots in comforting television, the stakes for the health of the animals have never been higher. Let’s discuss how the characters are adjusting to their new reality. -
'Miss Scarlet & The Duke' Season 4 Episode 1 Recap: fake it till you make it
Reader, I hope you’re as excited as I am to have our Victorian era detective pals back in action! Remember how last season Detective Mustache (Nash) offered our pal Victoria Mars (Eliza) the opportunity to run his office while he went off to set up a new branch in Paris? And how Duke Silver (William) had just gotten dumped by Arabella? It’s been a while, so if you, like me, needed a refresher, you can find all my previous recaps here. -

It’s Spring 1940 and with Europe at war, the community in Darrowby are pulling together more than ever before. With Tristan away serving, Siegfried and James bring in some extra hands to help around the practice: although not everything goes as smoothly as planned. Happily married Helen and James begin to think about their future, and new and familiar animals abound, including a ferret and some feisty goats.

'Archie' is the beginning of BritBox’s next chapter
Archie is BritBox’s newest limited series focused on exploring Cary Grant’s life beyond the lights of Old Hollywood. Grant’s real name before he adopted his stage name was Archibald “Archie” Leach. He created the suave upper-class British gentleman persona to escape childhood trauma and to ease the struggle to climb the acting ladder. Once the cameras were off, these early troubles affected his real-life marriages and relationships. -
