Celebrating Pride

GBH celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month with engaging content and educational resources that highlight the LGBTQ+ community. All year long, we honor the people who work to forge a more inclusive, diverse and equitable society. GBH is deeply grateful to LGBTQ+ individuals who strengthen our country by sharing their stories. Prism

For decades, LGBTQ+ staff have gathered at GBH to share their stories, support one another, and create a safe space. In 2022, GBH created Prism, an LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) to Foundationally acknowledge and champion this community. Prism is a safe, supportive and celebratory space for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and two spirit (LGBTQ+) community and the allies who support them. We provide a network to exchange ideas, and supports the professional development of our LGTBQ+ colleagues, as well as recruitment and retention efforts. We collaborate with leadership on policies and practices that positively impact LGBTQ+ colleagues.

Stories from the Stage: Pride

Over the last few decades, LGBTQ+ people have made tremendous political and social gains. But threats persist, and the fight for equity is still ongoing. People are standing up, and their stories of living their true lives loud and proud give us all hope. Hear amazing and true stories from some of these inspirational people.

We amplify initiatives that uphold the Foundation’s commitment to DEIA in programming, employee growth and development, and community engagement. As ambassadors, Prism members engage LGBTQ+ employees and share feedback, concerns, and suggestions with the Office of Inclusion and Equity (OIE).
