This weekend, President Donald Trump attended the G20 Summit in Japan, surprising many by having his daughter and advisor, Ivanka Trump, accompany him at several meetings. He also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and made lighthearted commentsabout Russian meddling in American elections. Trump also visited the demilitarized zone, stepping into North Korea — the first sitting president to ever do so — to continue talks with North Korea’s President Kim Jong Un. Topping the weekend off, Iran announced that it had surpassed limits on its nuclear fuel stockpile set in the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal, which Trump pulled out of last year. So what is the method to a whirlwind weekend of foreign policy?
