Commercial flights have resumed at Boston’s Logan International Airport after a JetBlue flight “rolled into the grass area” off the runway, a Massport spokesperson told GBH News.
“Upon landing, JetBlue flight 312 rolled into the grass area off runway 33-L. There are no injuries,” Samantha Decker, who works in Massport’s media relations department, wrote in a statement to GBH News.
Decker said passengers were bussed to the terminal while the aircraft was being assessed.
The incident led to a ground stop, or pause on flights, for over an hour before being lifted a little around 1:15 p.m., according to Massport.
JetBlue’s corporate communications department told GBH News that the flight “veered off the runway and onto the grass after landing.”
“Customers safely deplaned and were bussed to the terminal,” the statement read. “Safety is JetBlue’s top priority. We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause.”
JetBlue’s website shows that flight 312 departed from Chicago’s O’Hare airport shortly before 9:45 ET and landed at 11:49 a.m.
