Students at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden have reported being disciplined in the last few weeks for dress code violations.
Colleen Cook says her twin daughters, Deanna and Mya Cook, have been punished for wearing hair extensions. Cook says the dress code and resulting discipline discriminates against students of color.
Cook spoke with WGBH All Things Considered host Barbara Howard.
