The Massachusetts presidential primary ballot has been set, with Republican Jim Gilmore and Democrat Bernie Sanders taking the top slots before voters March 1.
Massachusetts’s Super Tuesday ballot was set Tuesday morning when Secretary of State William Galvin put sealed envelopes containing each candidate’s’ name into a tumbler to randomize the selection.
Galvin jokingly referred to Gilmore as a “household name” when he placed the former Virginia governor and struggling candidate’s name into the tumbler, only to find it was the first selected in the Republican group moments later.
The Republican ballot will appear as follows:
