Police say a 16-year-old boy shot to death in Boston while riding his bike was apparently targeted by two young men who remain on the loose.

The victim, whose name was not made public, was shot at about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the city's Dorchester section and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police Commissioner William Evans says the shooting wasn't random and the community should be outraged that a family is burying their child.

Officers are looking for two suspects, both black males in their late teens or early 20s, wearing green hooded sweat shirts and seen fleeing the area on foot.

The boy's death was the city's 11th homicide of the year.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects.
