Universities cherish free speech, but one student group says that ideal is in short supply at Northeastern University. Students for Justice in Palestine says the university unfairly suspended them earlier this month for handing out these mock eviction notices, which were intended to draw attention to what the group calls Israel’s “apartheid policies against the Palestinian people.”
In a statement, the university said the suspension came after multiple violations of campus policies over an extended period of time.
