Parents may dread the day school is called off. It means more work, daytime supervision, and maybe an unplanned day off for the parent, too. But even if they’re a pain in the neck, a new Harvardstudy says the risk of accidents outweighs the small chance that you’ll unnecessarily canceling school. Translation: if a snowstorm turns into a mere dusting, it’s still wise for administrators to be cautious.
