Cécile McLorin Salvant never intended to release the songs on her new album, "Oh Snap." Her work has explored Haitian folk music, jazz standards, and blues, but her new album is almost all original, and faces her fears head on. She's performing Saturday, November 1st at the Berklee Performance Center.

GBH Jazz Nights welcome saxophonist Lihi Haruvi and her eclectic quartet of mandolin, bass, and percussion. This unique ensemble delivers an unforgettable evening of genre-blending music, where folk meets jazz - driving improvisation into a powerful, immersive soundscape, with a special highlight on the soprano saxophone.
GBH Jazz Nights showcase the incredible range of jazz talent in the Greater Boston area. The series is co-hosted by JazzBoston and GBH Music, taking place on the second Thursday of every month from September through May. Tickets are free, but registration is encouraged.
