Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.

Today’s mural features All Aglow by Trish Gannon. This piece is a nod to the ever-changing environment. The art reflects on the experience of being enveloped by the sun’s warmth, perhaps as it sets over a hillside.

“More than anything, art is about the feeling it evokes,” Gannon says. “I hope viewers feel warmth, affirmation – and maybe a bit of pleasure.”

Gannon received artist training from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and also studied drawing in Bath, England. More recently, she has expanded her repertoire by taking art classes in Naples, FL. She now works predominantly in pastels and acrylics – often focused on the floral and nature motifs that offer inspiration. She also dabbles in charcoal drawing, calligraphy, decorative arts, poetry, and photography.
