More about the artist:
Kim Carlino is an Easthampton, Massachusetts–based multi-disciplinary artist whose work explores how visual, cultural, technological, and ecological systems shape perception and meaning. Through site-specific wall paintings, murals, and large-scale works on Tyvek and panel, she combines abstraction and figuration to examine connections between personal experience and larger social and environmental networks.

Carlino has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the University Museum of Contemporary Art in Amherst, MASS MoCA in North Adams, the Every Woman Biennial, and galleries in New York, Miami, and the United Arab Emirates. A recipient of a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in Drawing and Printmaking, she was also part of the team that installed Sol LeWitt’s landmark wall drawing retrospective at MASS MoCA in 2008. Since 2014, Carlino has completed numerous public art and mural commissions, including projects for the City of Springfield, the City of Northampton, Isenberg Projects in Boston, and Google’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
