Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.

Today’s mural features photography by Anna Kreslavskaya. This double exposure explores the relationship between place and self. By layering the surreal structures of Xilitla, Mexico within a human profile, the image suggests that extraordinary experiences are not simply observed. They are instead internalized, becoming part of who we are.

Kreslavskaya is a Boston-based photographer and artist specializing in portraits of children and adults, candid photography, flowers, fine art photography, and event photography.
