  • Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, a professor of Classics Emeritus at California State University, Fresno, and a nationally syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services. He is also the Wayne & Marcia Buske Distinguished Fellow in History, Hillsdale College, where he teaches courses in military history and classical culture each fall semester. Hanson was educated at the University of California, Santa Cruz (BA, Classics, 1975), the American School of Classical Studies, Athens (regular member, 1978-79) and received his Ph.D. in Classics from Stanford University in 1980. He was the fifth successive generation to live in the same house on his family’s farm, was a full-time orchard and vineyard grower from 1980-1984, before joining the nearby CSU Fresno campus in 1984 to initiate a classical languages program. He now divides his time between his forty-acre tree and vine farm near Selma, California, where he was born in 1953, and the Stanford campus.
  • Dr. Richard Restak is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, and he is Clinical Professor of Neurology at George Washington Hospital University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Restak was elected to Fellowship in the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Neuropsychiatric Association. He was president of the American Neuropsychiatric Association (2005 - 2007). As a regular lecturer, both nationally and internationally, he has presented commentaries for both *Morning Edition* and *All Things Considered* on NPR and made numerous appearances on leading television talk shows including: the *Today Show*, *Good Morning America*, the Discovery Channel, and the *PBS NewsHour*.

  • Mike Luckovich, editorial cartoonist of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, won the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for cartooning. A native of Seattle, he graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in political science. He worked as a traveling salesman while dreaming of landing a cartooning job on a daily newspaper. At last he did with the New Orleans Times-Picayune in 1984. Luckovich joined the Constitution in 1989. His work also appears in Time, the New York Times and other media. He is distributed nationally by Creators Syndicate. Luckovich also won the 1994 Robert F. Kennedy and Overseas Press Club awards, and 1992 National Headliner award, and three first places in the Cox Newspapers awards, all for cartooning.
  • Jeffrey Post is a geologist and curator at the Smithsonian Institution whose work focuses on mineral groups such as clays, manganese oxides and iron oxides. For the past several years Post has coordinated a research effort into the study of mineral structures and behaviors, with a focus on environmentally significant minerals. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has published numerous articles and studies in journals such as *American Mineralogist* and *European Journal of Mineralogy*.

  • Dr. Shaheed was born and raised in Metro Atlanta. He attended Stockbridge High School and received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He received his medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Shaheed successfully completed two years in Hialeah Hospital's prestigious Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, where he became skilled in all aspects of forefoot and rear foot surgery including ER and Trauma, Diabetic Foot Care and Sports Medicine. His special interests are arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Shaheed is licensed and board certified to practice in Georgia. Dr. Shaheed is certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and holds membership in the American and Georgia Podiatric Medical Associations, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Diabetes Association, and serves on the ethics committee of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Shaheed is also an active member of the community. He is the team physician for Mohammed School's Basketball/Soccer programs. Dr. Shaheed is certified in diagnostic and operative Arthroscopic and Endoscopic surgery, and works as a team physician for Morris Brown College NCAA Division I football team, and adjunct clinical Instructor, Morehouse School of Medicine. He also serves as the company podiatrist for the Ballethnic Dance Company. Dr. Shaheed has publications in the 'Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association' as well as 'The Stepping Stone.' He is affiliated with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Shaheed enjoys karate and scuba diving in his spare time.
  • David Miliband was the British Foreign Secretary under Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He is also the Member of Parliament for South Shields. He was born 15 July 1965 in London, the eldest son of Jewish immigrants who fled from Belgium during World War II. He was a MIT Kennedy Scholar and graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford where he studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He achieved a First Class Honours Degree
