Naim Shaheed

DeKalb Medical Podiatrist

Dr. Shaheed was born and raised in Metro Atlanta. He attended Stockbridge High School and received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He received his medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Shaheed successfully completed two years in Hialeah Hospital's prestigious Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, where he became skilled in all aspects of forefoot and rear foot surgery including ER and Trauma, Diabetic Foot Care and Sports Medicine. His special interests are arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Shaheed is licensed and board certified to practice in Georgia. Dr. Shaheed is certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and holds membership in the American and Georgia Podiatric Medical Associations, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Diabetes Association, and serves on the ethics committee of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Shaheed is also an active member of the community. He is the team physician for Mohammed School's Basketball/Soccer programs. Dr. Shaheed is certified in diagnostic and operative Arthroscopic and Endoscopic surgery, and works as a team physician for Morris Brown College NCAA Division I football team, and adjunct clinical Instructor, Morehouse School of Medicine. He also serves as the company podiatrist for the Ballethnic Dance Company. Dr. Shaheed has publications in the 'Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association' as well as 'The Stepping Stone.' He is affiliated with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Shaheed enjoys karate and scuba diving in his spare time.
