Acclaimed concert pianist George Li visits Fraser Performance Studio for a recital of incredible range, featuring Claude Debussy’s delicate and inventive Images: Book 1 alongside Modest Mussorgsky’s virtuosic Pictures at an Exhibition. A Greater Boston native, Walnut Hill School for the Arts alumnus, and dual graduate of Harvard University and the New England Conservatory, Li has built a stellar international reputation since winning the Silver Medal at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition. Recent highlights include his acclaimed 2024 Warner Classics album Movements, featuring dance suites by Schumann, Ravel, and Stravinsky, alongside major orchestral engagements across North America and Europe. The program will be hosted by Brian McCreath, GBH Music's Director of Production, and recorded for future In Concert broadcast on CRB Classical 99.5, television on GBH 2, and streaming on PBS Passport.
The evening is made possible by the generous support of the Mattina R. Proctor Foundation.
