In February, “Under the Radar” kicked off its new year-long series, “How We Love.” This month, we continue our conversation about romance fanfiction with two best-selling authors who started in the fanfic world: Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billlings, collectively known as Christina Lauren.
The authors write both young adult and adult fiction, and have produced 21 New York Times best-selling novels, including “The Unhoneymooners,” “The True Love Experiment,” “Love And Other Words” and “The Paradise Problem.” Their upcoming novel, “The Romance Revival,” comes out this July.
They joined “Under the Radar” host Callie Crossley to discuss how they met through writing “Twilight” fanfiction, the differences between writing fanfiction and original genre romance, and how they think fanfiction changed the traditional romance-publishing world.
