The Heart of Robin Hood presented by the A.R.T., plays at the Loeb Drama Center through January 19th. The notorious Robin Hood and his band of outlaws steal from the rich, but they do not share their spoils with the poor and are unloved by the people, who must also pay unfair taxes to the evil Prince John as he plots to steal his brother's crown. In this time of chaos and fear, it is down to Marion to boldly protect the poor and convince Robin that he must listen to his heart if they are to save the country.

The Christmas Revels, at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University through December 27th.
Celebrate the season with a joyous theatrical holiday show filled with music, dance, comedy and carols, this year from Galicia, the Celtic region of Northern Spain. Take a fantastical musical pilgrimage through time and space to the medieval cathedral town of Santiago de Compostela. Acclaimed storyteller Jay O’Callahan heads the 80-member ensemble in a show filled with evocative Spanish music, exciting dance and magical stories.

Inside Llewyn Davis, in theaters Friday.
Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles – some of them of his own making. Living at the mercy of both friends and strangers, scaring up what work he can find, Llewyn’s misadventures take him from the basket houses of the village to an empty Chicago club – on an odyssey to audition for music mogul Bud Grossman – and back again.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in theaters Friday.
To his beloved “San-de-ahh-guns,” the name "Ron Burgundy" has always meant two things: big news and perfect hair. Now it’s time to take both to the Big Apple. The newsman rounds up his team but is quickly challenged by his strong female boss, Linda Jackson and a chiseled popular lead anchor. It’s up to Ron and the team to find their own way to the top of news – and the top of the ratings.

American Hustle in theaters Friday.
Brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld and his equally cunning British partner Sydney Prosser are forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso, who pushes them into a world of Jersey power brokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes. This may be my vote for #1 film of the year.
