Sara Crewe, her father The Captain, his right-hand man Pasko, Sara’s African nanny Aljana, and a multicultural cast of characters are on an uplifting magical, musical adventure set in Victorian London. Young Sara Crewe must face trouble head-on when she is sent to a boarding school after her father disappears on a mission to Africa. Only her powers of imagination can win over the other students and can save her from the ire of Miss Minchin, the dour headmistress.
A Boston Pops Christmas: Live From Symphony Hall is a new CD in stores now; the Holiday Pops season begins tonight and runs through December 24th.
The Boston Pops will release its first live holiday CD, A Boston Pops Christmas - Live From Symphony Hall, under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart, with the acclaimed Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and vocalist Melinda Doolittle, an American Idol finalist. The new album was recorded at concerts during the 2011 and 2012 Holiday Pops seasons in Boston's Symphony Hall, widely considered one of the top concert halls in the world. It is the orchestra’s first seasonal recording since the release of Sleigh Ride in 2004.

This 4-time Tony Award-winning musical of chivalry and medieval finery weaves a tumultuous love triangle between King Arthur, his wife-to-be Guinevere, and Lancelot. Coinciding with the 50-year anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy, this sprawling production is made more interesting by the recent memories and conversation about that other Camelot, with similar idealistic yearnings of a young king trying to create a better and new order.
