Gossip and the Brain
We know the quickest way to change a person's feelings about someone is to gossip about them, but what if gossip could effect the way you actually see a person? A new study says gossip can do just that. We talk with the study's author, Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett, a distinguished professor of psychology at Northeastern Unviersity. Nicholas DiFonzo, a rumor expert and social psychologist based out of the Rochester Institute of Technology, also joins us to discuss what he calls the gossip paradox.
