John Cariani's "Last Gas"
Actor and playwright John Cariani has starred in film, television, and on Broadway. But he's also a playwright, and he's set two of his plays in his home state of Maine. His first play, "Almost, Maine" is a popular choice of theaters and schools across the country - it's been performed over 600 since it's premier in 2004. His newest play, "Last Gas," is set in Northern Maine, dozens of miles past the end of route I-95. It follows Nat Paradis, who finds himself stuck in neutral as the owner of Paradis's Last Convenient Store. Today, we'll talk with John Cariani about his career, "Last Gas," and writing plays about home.
