A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn
WGBH presents the fifth annual A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn with Brian O'Donovan on Saturday, March 20 at 8pm at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, Cambridge. He will be joined by Frankie Gavin and De Danann, Tony McManus, Maeve Gilchrist, and more. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, Feb. 13. WGBH members receive a discount.

Saturday, Jan. 30, 3pm to 6pm on 89.7 WGBH
Members of WGBH are invited to attend events in our studios in Brighton. These Celtic Guest Street Sessions are relaxed and informal, featuring performances, conversations, and unexpected collaborations. This edition samples from the first year of these sessions, featuring the Folk Arts Quartet, the jazz-tinged sounds of Scottish singer Maeve Gilchrist, Robbie O'Connell, Susie Petrov and Calum Pasqua, the innovative sound of Hay Brigade, and uileann piper Paddy Keenan.

In the 1960s and 1970s, bands like Fairport Convention (shown), Steeleye Span, Lindisfarne and Pentangle created a new genre of music: Folk Rock. Host Brian O'Donovan explores recordings from that era on the Feb. 6 edition of the program.
