Thank you, Serena!
Serena, age 8, stopped by WGBH's Brighton studios with her mom to make a special gift. Serena, who is a big fan of Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, The Electric Company, and Design Squad, saved a portion of her allowance for an entire year and gave it to WGBH.Kids, media, and values
Every time children watch TV or surf the Web, they are learning something. But what are they learning? Grown-ups need to shepherd children through the maze of images that may shape their minds, for better or worse.

Cleo and Leona roar into Christopher's Haven
Between the Lions mother-daughter duo Cleo and Leona, along with their pal Surfer Monkey, took a trip to Beantown recently to visit Christopher's Haven, a local organization which provides a home away from home for families of pediatric cancer patients receiving daily outpatient treatments. The lions read with the children, sang songs, posed for pictures, and gave lots of hugs and high-fives!

WGBH welcomes Fetch! hopefuls
More than 3,700 kids and parents converged on WGBH's Brighton headquarters during January's auditions for Season 4 of Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman. Children ages 9 to 13 came from all over — as far away as Atlanta, Florida, Arizona, and Washington state — for a chance to become one of the series’ newest cast members, and Ruff himself was on hand to meet and greet prospective Fetch'ers. (Pictured with Ruff, left to right: twin brothers Kirby and Henry, age 9, of Dorchester, MA; Tomas, age 9, of Hyde Park, MA; Omari, age 11, of Atlanta, GA; Taina, age 10, of Hyde Park, MA; Lily, age 8 1/2, of Acton, MA)
