Virginia DePina

Production Coordinator

Virginia DePina joined the Basic Black team as the production coordinator in March of 2014. In addition to researching potential story ideas and developing strategies for social media engagement, DePina produces videos for the Black Perspectives Now page on the Basic Black website.

Prior to joining WGBH, DePina was the coordinator of television programming at Massasoit Community College. She also served as the editor and engineer for Grace Church of All Nation’s Voice of Grace radio program on WEZE 590 AM, and produced promotional videos for Brockton Arts, Inc., Boys & Girls Club of Brockton, Taunton River Watershed Alliance and more.

Virginia DePina is a graduate of Emerson College and holds a master’s degree in communication from Lasell College.
