Massachusetts education officials announced Wednesday afternoon that the Boston and Worcester school districts would be granted waivers to delay their return to full in-person learning for K-8 students this spring. The move came after the state on Tuesday granted similar waivers to 58 other districts, also giving them some wiggle room on the state-mandated return date of April 5.
