After a long year away, Boston Symphony Orchestra Music Director Andris Nelsons returned for a belated celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. Nelsons was originally scheduled to perform all nine of Beethoven's symphonies last fall. But now, he leads the orchestra in four pre-recorded performances now streaming as part of the BSO's collection of online offerings. He joined Jim Braude to discuss.
