Mass. Restaurateurs Call On Beacon Hill To Pass Aid Package As Cold Weather Approaches
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker has announced plans to extend the end date for outdoor dining permissions, as well as $5 million more in state funding to help repurpose parking spaces and sidewalks into outdoor eating venues. But many restaurant owners say they are worried they will not survive the fall. A group called Massachusetts Restaurants United rallied outside the State House on Tuesday to call on lawmakers to pass an aid package that includes a new fund to help struggling restaurants.
