The internet can be a virtual sewer of misinformation, hoaxes, and ignorant bunk. Even platforms that claim a commitment to stopping the spread of falsehoods, like Facebook, have a history of failing to do so. Now, a new conspiracy theory has surfaced: the “plandemic,” which alleges that coronavirus was engineered to increase vaccinations and make pharmaceutical companies rich.
