Donald Trump’s Closing Midterm Argument: Racism
President Donald Trump has made it clear that his closing argument in the 2018 midterms is pure, unabashed racism. In case there was any doubt about it, his most recent campaign ad, which ties a single murderer who is an undocumented immigrant to images of unidentified Hispanic people – presumably from the migrant caravan. The ad is reminiscent of the infamous Willie Horton ad run by Bush supporters in 1988. Jim Braude was joined by Lauren Sampson, a fellow at Lawyers for Civil Rights; and Tina Opie, associate professor of management at Babson College.

Bill McKibben On The Pressing Danger Of Climate Change
As The New York Times recently reported, the United States is right in the middle of an era of deregulation in Washington, with climate change regulations particularly hit hard. Despite a terrifying U.N. report from more than 90 scientists around the world saying the world is just over a decade away from climate disaster if we don't act now, the Trump administration continues with its anti-climate agenda. Of course, the alarm bells starting ringing decades ago about the effects of all this — thanks in large part to Bill McKibben, whose book ‘The End of Nature’ warned us back in the 1980s about the oncoming global disaster. Jim Braude was joined by Bill McKibben.
