With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, tens of millions of previously uninsured Americans will be looking for a primary-care doctor. It’s not an exaggeration to say the success of the Affordable Care Act will be measured by the number of young doctors deciding to become primary care physicians. If they don’t, the country could face a serious shortage of these physicians.
