The war of words between President Donald Trump and James Comey escalated this week with the release of the former FBI director’s long-awaited tell-all book, A Higher Loyalty. In an interview previewing the book, Comey called the president “morally unfit,” “a mafia boss,” and a liar. “Slimeball,” “slippery,” “leaker” and “liar” were just some of the words Trump used to describe Comey in response, in addition to calling for him to be jailed.
Then there’s the drama surrounding Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen, whose home and office were raided by the FBI last week. During a hearing about the records seized in the raid, Cohen’s lawyers revealed the name of one of his mystery clients: Fox News Host Sean Hannity.
Jim Braude was joined by civil liberties attorney and WGBH contributor, Harvey Silverglate, and former Attorney General, now partner at Foley Hoag, Martha Coakley, to discuss.
