It has long been rumored, and yesterday — the Massachusetts political landscape exploded with word that former Governor Deval Patrick acknowledged that he has been mulling a run for president. Patrick actually said that a full week ago, but it took until yesterday to break here, because he said it in an interview on Kansas public radio.
Jim Braude was joined by Lauren Dezenski, Politico reporter and co-host of The Horse Race podcast; Rachael Cobb, chair of the political science department at Suffolk University; and Frank Phillips, State House bureau chief for The Boston Globe to discuss the that and a few other local presidential hopefuls and a hotly contested congressional race for Massachusetts’ seventh district.
