Hundreds of cities across the United States and across the world saw demonstrators take to the streets this weekend in the second coming of last year’s Women’s March.

News analyst Charlie Sennott joined Boston Public Radio today to talk about the meaning of the marches that happened in cities like London, Osaka and Boston.

“The whole world is stepping back and reflecting on one year of the Trump presidency,” Sennott said. “It was interesting that these global women's marches coalesced all around the world.”

Las Vegas was reportedly the site of the biggest demonstration, chosen as the location of the anniversary march because of Nevada’s upcoming Senate and gubernatorial races.

“It’s definitely the anniversary of the Women's March a year ago, but it’s also #MeToo and a lot of this global climate that enough is enough,” said Sennott.

He referenced rallies in Rome, Sydney and Buenos Aires, calling the movement “something to watch.”

“I think it’s an interesting global reaction to this presidency by women,” said Sennott.
