Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is scheduled to address graduates of a city high school just days after a student was killed nearby in a brazen daylight shooting.

Walsh tells the Boston Herald that his commencement address Friday at Jeremiah Burke High School has changed significantly in light of the shooting Wednesday that killed a 17-year-old student and left three others injured.

Police have identified the victim as Jaekwon Juaquay Brown, of Roxbury. Brown was a junior but Walsh says he's sure many of the seniors knew him.

He says his speech should be about the future, but he plans on talking "about the trauma that the young people experienced."

The other people shot, two older teens and a 67-year-old woman, are expected to survive. There have been no arrests.
