Last month on Boston Public Radio, Governor Baker was talking about ballot questions. He is a huge advocate of direct democracy. Jim asked the governor what he would do if someone asked him to sign a petition to get a question onto the ballot so voters could decide, even if he personally opposed it. At the time, the governor said he’d have to think about it and get back to me. And this afternoon, he did just that, with a tiny bit of prodding.
