Sweden isn’t exactly one of the world’s biggest exporters, but when they do it, they sure make it count. First there was ABBA, then IKEA, and now: Boda Borg. It’s a real life adventure game that’s been popular for decades in Scandinavia— and this Saturday, it’s coming to Malden. It will be the first Boda Borg location to operate in United States. As for the name? The first Boda Borg was constructed outside the Swedish town of Boda in a building that looked like a “borg,” which is the Swedish word for castle.
WGBH News reporter Edgar B. Herwick III (@ebherwick3) was among the first to try it out in Malden ahead of its opening, and he decided to drag fellow reporting colleagues Adam Reilly and Cristina Quinn along for the ride.
