Alex Whitmore and Kathleen Fulton co-founded Taza Chocolate in 2005, after Whitmore took a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, and tried stone-ground chocolate confections created by Oaxacan artisans. They set out to replicate the creations here in the states. The two forged a connection with fair-trade certified cacao farmers, created packaging for their product, ground their own beans into Taza bars and discs, and didn't look back.

Whitmore and Fulton joined Jim Braude and Margery Eagan on BPR's Friday News Quiz to talk chocolate, sample some of their products, and of course compete over headlines from the week.
