- Only July 16th of this year only a few people knew who Eric Garner was. Now on December 4th his name is known worldwide. Jim Braude and Margery Eagan talked about the choke-hold death of Eric Garner in New York City, and a grand jury's decision not to indict the officer who administered the hold.
- Kara Miller talked about the "aerotropolis" — the way cities are now organizing themselves around airports. In the past, cities were built around shipping, then highways and interstates.
