Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Charlie Baker their final pitches to voters on Monday, the last full day of campaigning before the election for Massachusetts Governor.

At a small diner in Braintree, Baker gave hugs, put on a Braintree baseball cap -- backwards -- and gratefully accepted a gingerbread man decorated to look like him. he joked around with voters, like city Councilman John Mullaney.

"It’s the first time I’ve ever gone Republican," Mullaney said. "I’m going to my psychiatrist"

You know, it won’t hurt," Baker told him.

Martha Coakley was at a diner in Brockton. She said undecided voters will be convinced when they look at her record.

“I stand up to people. Making sure that we stand up to big businesses and corporations, standing up to fairness. Giving kids and people a fair shot. They’ll come my way.”

Both candidates spent the afternoon at the funeral for former Boston Mayor Tom Menino. Later, they'll head to get-out-the-vote rallies. And Coakley plans to end the night at the Eire pub in Dorchester, which she says is an Election eve tradition.
