Framingham-based Staples office supply chain announced it’s closing 225 stores by the end of 2015, hoping to save about $500 million annually.
The list of stores has not been made public, but the closings are all in North America.
The company says nearly half of is sales are now generated online, so the cuts will make the company more efficient.
