Richard Blanco joined Boston Public Radio on Monday to highlight the work and life of poet Dorianne Laux, who has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and has been a Pushcart Prize winner, according to the Poetry Foundation.

Blanco described Laux as "subtly powerful."

Richard Blanco is the fifth presidential inaugural poet in U.S. history, His new book, "How To Love A Country," deals with various socio-political issues that shadow America.
