Since 2008, the medical community and patients have banded together on the last day of February to observe Rare Disease Day. The day, which will take place on February 28 this year, is meant to spread awareness for undiagnosed disorders and the need for continued research to help identify, treat and, someday, eliminate these enigmatic illnesses.

Guests:

- Dr. Joan Stoler, clinical geneticist at Boston Children’s Hospital, assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, key research partner with the Undiagnosed Diseases Network.

- Quita Christison, outreach and engagement coordinator and “campference” director for the nonprofit organization Next Step in Cambridge.
