Conductor Keith Lockhart is taking the Boston Pops Orchestra on the road, embarking on a seven-city, seven-state Midwest tour featuring the music of George Gershwin and performances by Bernadette Peters. Lockhart is bringing the Pops to Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and more, before ending the season with a world-premier of the concert version of Sondheim on Sondheim here at Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass.
