The House of Blues Boston was brimming with talent last night as the 2018 Boston Music Awards commenced. The evening was chock full of notable moments including local favorite Cousin Stizz being named "Artist of the Year" and "Hip-Hop Artist of the Year." Aubrey Haddard doubled up on the metal with "Singer-Songwriter of the Year" and "Vocalist of the Year." We were thrilled, but not surprised; we knew she was going places after taping her Live at Fraser performance in April.

Latrell James claimed "Song of the Year" with his hit "Okay," another hot performance we were fortunate enough to capture in Fraser. NPR Slingshot artist Sidney Gish snagged up the award for "Album of the Year" with her breakthrough No Dogs Allowed, a project we discussed with NPR Music's Bob Boilen earlier in the year. The Devil's Twins performed and took home the award for "Rock Artist of the Year," and Oompa lit up the crowd with an incredible show, won the award for "Unsigned Artist of the Year," and was also named the 2018 617 Session Artist Winner.

A full list of winners is below, and congratulations to everyone! We can’t thank you enough for your amazing contributions to our local music scene.
