Former New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski talked to NBC News last week about the many head and body injuries he sustained during his football career. Gronkowski’s comments came out around the same time Harvard University released a new study that shows ex-NFL players are six times more likely to have cognitive problems than the general public.
Trenni Kusnierek, an anchor and reporter with NBC Sports Boston, joined Boston Public Radio Tuesday to talk about the many physical risks that football players must endure.
“If I had a child, I would not allow them to play football,” Kusnierek said.
