Boston has been anointed  one of the most expensive cities in the nation, the drunkest  city in the country, and now we can add congested to the list.

According to  The Urban Mobility Report,  an annual publication out of Texas A&M, we're the fifth-worst city in the nation when it comes to traffic congestion. This means the average driver  wastes 53 hours a year stuck in traffic and spends 1,100.00 on gas while on the road to nowhere.

So are we in good company?   Washington, D.C., comes in at number one, followed by Los Angeles, San Francisco-Oakland and New York-Newark.

Today Emily Rooney digs into the causes behind this ranking with Jason Schreiber, a principal at Nelson\ Nygaard.
